CT whole abdomen:  Decrease enhancement of large bowel and small bowel with pneumatosis intestinalis (PI) and portal vein gas

Provisional diagnosis:  "Bowel ischemia"

• When PI is found with portal vein gas, the mortality is about 50-75%.
• Etiology of PI includes intraabdominal infection, diverticulitis, infectious colitis, etc.
• Difference between portal vein gas and aerobillia
  • Portal vein gas:  periphery and branching
  • Aerobillia:  localized central of the liver
